DISCIPLINE AND LOVE OF THE FATHER

My heart remembered my father today and this particular event that made me remember was when I was about 14 years old . You know in Africa we beat the child if he or she behaves silly when he or she has come to the age of accountability mostly the son's In this particular event I was growing up to be very naughty and my dad ask the grown ones to get hold of me and I was spanked so badly I questioned my father if he was my real father? that if he was, he wouldn't dealt with me the way he did. How many times have we questioned God? for allowing us to go through the pains and troubles we go through?. I know many of us have done that just like I did when I was 14 years old. For whom the LORD loves He chastens, And scourges every son whom He receives.” Hebrew 12:6. Scourges means to flog or whip to punish severely, not out of hate but love so that correction will be made. Later in life I formed a bound with my father that I still missed till this day because I grew found him and I could talk him not out fear but out of love. My father too grew older to understand who I was and how I was created to be and that friendship made him to be the first to ask me Are you ready to give your life to Jesus? in 1991. For whom the Lord loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights Proverb 3:12 Don't run away because God is correcting you, he wants you to have a life filled with discipline so you can have self control and be a true follower of God, he wants to use you for his glory. Blessed is the man You discipline, O LORD, and teach from Your law, Psalm 94:12 Look at the children who are not properly brought up or properly disciplined you see the attitude is very clear I see those a lot, no respect for the elderly no feelings of guilt when you talked to them over a wrong doing. Finally I leave you with illustration of the prodigal son who was a spoilt brat, who wanted to get his inheritance while is father is still alive that summons up most of us and how we are, until something happens to us, something drastic like what happened to prodigal son. TIME TO GO

Greetings in Jesus name, so glad and thankful to the master maker life creator for making it possible to see the light of a new day. it is a miracle to wake up alive, it has always been for we all. There is a time to go just as you came into the world you will leave the world, are you preparing for this time? What matters is not in death or the timing is not in your age or how you wish to get old, but in how you have lived your life? did you live for Jesus? will you make the mark?. Hebrew 9:27*And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, The appointment is set already waiting for you to come in for judgment, is this not enough for us to get prepared for that appointed day? 1 Corinthians 15:21**For since by man came death, by Man also came the resurrection of the dead. The deciding factor is Jesus, are you living for Jesus? that's the only way that leads to eternal life. Matthew 7:14*Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it. The time of accountability will come a time to go into the spiritual leaving this physical world will come what are are preparations? the narrow gate is tough , rough difficult and filled with thorns but it leads to life. Are you ready to pass through the narrow gate and gain life eternal. I'm often fascinated how people take this life and how attached they are to this world forgetting is just a temporary place even among believers we seem to forget that time is not a friend of man. For we always feel we have time, and that has been a benchmark problem to mankind we forget so quick the suddenness of life. We seem to forget that no one can actually tell how the wrinkles came about they just appear without you knowing 1 John 20:17****The world is passing away, and also its lusts; but the one who does the will of God lives forever. The world will pass away his inhabitance too will pass ways but the saving grace is for the one who does the will of the father that person will live forever. Time to go will finally reach us where ever we may be but my prayers for you is that you do the will of the father to gain eternal life and wear the crown of glory waiting for you. God help us in Jesus name. I love you but God loves you more keep standing for Jesus.
